I was awarded one of ten college-wide Dean’s scholarships to complete my masters at Imperial College London. I won the prize for best MPH dissertation and achieved a distinction in my degree. My dissertation used administrative data from GUM clinics to explore the sexual health of male and female sex workers in England.
2008-09 Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Science) at University College Cork, Ireland
I was awarded a 1st class honours grade in my postgraduate diploma which included 150+ hours of classroom teaching in a mixed comprehensive school. I achieved a 1st class honours grade for my teaching practice and was selected for external moderation visit for the course.
2004-08 Bsc Hons (Microbiology) at University College Cork Ireland
I achieved a 1st class honours grade in my bachelors degree which included a 12-week final year laboratory project. My project evaluated a novel, transposon-aided method of plasmid capture in E coli samples.
